The company

Scalapay is the startup that is revolutionizing the payment sector with innovative installment solutions that took off during the e-commerce boom linked to COVID-19. The rapid expansion has seen the team grow from 15 to 150 members in Italy, with offices also opening in France and Spain, until it became the first Italian unicorn in 2022.

The escalation of Scalapay has naturally brought significant organizational challenges. With the introduction of Annalisa Scio in the role of Office Manager in 2022, Scalapay has strengthened its internal structure.

In the beginning, the events in Scalapay were sporadic and poorly organized.

“There was no precise design, spritz parties were organized once a month and some corporate parties, but everything was very spontaneous and unorganized: we were a much smaller group,”

Annalisa says. The choice to give more structure at the events, she was born right with her entry, starting to rationalize the supplier selection process. And this is where he meets Kampaay.

“Kampaay's technology struck me right away: a vast catalog that allowed me to select everything I need—location, catering, number of participants. It was an immediate discovery and perfectly in line with my needs. Then when we had the opportunity to test Kampaay in a real context, with very tight deadlines, the smart approach and the ability to adapt to needs surprised me even more.”

The first major event organized with the help of Kampaay was a European kick-off meeting, made in record time.

“Despite the logistical challenges and the short Advance notice, responsiveness andKampaay approach and its Event Experts were essential ingredients for finding the perfect location and coordinating all operational aspects, which involved more than three countries and more than 200 people, gathered for a day in Milan”, underlines Annalisa.

The event was a remarkable success, with a live link from Australia at the last minute by the founder and the participation in the presence of teams from France and Spain, bringing together for the first time all the countries in a single major event in Milan.

“The chosen auditorium hosted about 200 people and, despite fears that it might be too frontal in format, the event was dynamic and highly appreciated, thanks also to a well-orchestrated sequence of presentations and interventions,” adds Annalisa.

A cooking class in the farmhouse for the Italian team

The team building that involved the entire Italian team for the first time was another Key moment. Organized in a farmstead, the event included a team cooking game, promoting collaboration and socialization.

“This activity not only strengthened the team spirit, but it was also a wonderful opportunity to interact in an informal, stimulating and beautiful context, all coordinated by Kampaay's Event Expert,” says Annalisa.

Looking ahead: new offices, new beginnings.

With the imminent opening of new offices, Scalapay is preparing to write a new chapter.

“We are planning with Kampaay an event of inauguration, even in this case, it will be essential to have a reliable and smart partner for all aspects related to logistics,”

says Annalisa.

The vision is of further structure internal events, delegating event management to area managers through the Kampaay platform, thus simplifying the operational burden on the HR team.
